Development of Seawater Intrusion Vulnerability Assessment for Averaged Seasonality of Using Modified GALDIT Method

Climate change and anthropogenic activities are necessitating accurate diagnoses of seawater intrusion (SWI) to ensure the sustainable utilization groundwater resources in coastal areas. Here, vulnerability SWI was assessed by classifying existing GALDIT into static parameters (groundwater occurrence (G), aquifer hydraulic conductivity (A), distance from shore (D)) dynamic (height groundwater-level above sea-level (L), impact status (I), thickness (T)). When assessing based on observational data (2010–2019), 10-year-averaged each month is used for parameter representing seasonal characteristics local water cycles. In addition, L indicated observed at station adjacent level station. The method has a range scores that can be divided quartiles express values. To sensitively reflect monthly changes values, deciles. calculated index showed most vulnerable September, due relatively low level. proposed apply countermeasures areas build management plan considering seasons.
